On Sunday June 13th we will be having the World Famous Breakfast Burritos. This is a wonderful, co-operative event invented by the Full Moon Bus Club in the Carolina Mountains. Actually I think it was invented by the Mexicans but us VeeDubbers made it our own. And then Mikey D stole our idea.
How does it work? Glad you asked! …All you have to do is bring along an ingredient! Bring enough to feed your group, plus maybe a wee bit extra. Last year we had two left over hot-dogs and a tablespoon of Salsa. If you can bring the veggies pre-chopped it will help reduce the workload that morning. If you think I’ve missed an essential ingredient let me know and I’ll add it to the list.
Current estimates are that we will have about 300+ people on-site Sunday morning. Please bring your own dishes and cutlery, we will provide washing facilities for dishes after the meal. This will reduce the garbage generated and it’s better for the planet, too.
Remember: Bring your own dishes and cutlery; jug of juice; carafe of coffee; tumbler of tea; keg of Kool-aid; chalice of chicory; crystal of Café; beaker of bottled water; jar of Jolt cola; mug of mocha; canteen of Coke; urn of Utopia; vial of V-8; decanter of Dr. Pepper; or a flagon of your favourite drink; but please, no jiggers of Jagermeister!

YUMMY!! We’ll bring sausages. Do you take whole, raw sausages and then uncase ‘em all and fry them all together? Or should I bring our sausage contribution crumbled, cooked and ready to eat?
Crumbled, cooked and ready to eat makes it easier for the cooks. You wouldn’t believe how much grease we had to deal with last year cooking tons of raw bacon and sausage. That reminds me, I added empty tin cans for hot grease storage to the list.
You need help cooking? I enjoy helping to feed a throng of folks.
If there’s a place for plugging it in we can bring our 40 cup percolator. It makes excellent coffee!
I don’t drink coffee but yes there will be a place for it. I think you should bring it if you can.
