BusFusion 2013 – mini wrap-up

A really BIG Thank You to all the BusFusion committee members, participants, Ariana and David Gillis, Ben Rollo, the North Lanark Agricultural Society, the Town of Mississippi Mills and all the many corporate, private and club sponsors who made BusFusion 2013 the BEST ever ! Preliminary count show 177 buses in attendance, final audited count to come as soon as we have it. If you have any photos you’d like to post on the BusFusion site just go to the home page and follow the instructions there. A final more detailed wrap-up story will come as soon as I have time to write it ! Despite the horrible rain on Thursday the set-up day a huge number of brave camper showed up and Thursday night was active even though we could not have a campfire, Thanks to Greg Potts for bringing the Blue Sky for Friday night’s campfire ! Planning for BusFusion 2014 in already underway !

Birders on Bikes

“Birders on Bikes” organized by Gilligallou Bird Inc. of Almonte in association with Mississippi Mills Bicycle Month. Sunday June 9, pre-registration required, $5.00, email: or sign up at the store, 14 Mill St., Almonte, ON, 613-461-7333. Registration & coffee at 8:30, Bikes depart at 9:30am.

Just got word from Gerry that he is again hosting Walley Westies at his Serpent River Campground in Spragge Ontario July 19 ~ 21. Check the “More VW Events” link for more good VW Campouts.

The BusFusion website has recently been updated with important information regarding this years event. The “Activities” page is almost completed and the “2014 T-Shirt Contest” page has been added. Please look these over so you’re all aware of what’s going on at BusFusion 2013.
