BusFusion is in dire need of new committee members, without some additional help we, the current committee members, are stressed to the point that it will be difficult to make BusFusion work for 2018. Here are the positions that need to be filled: Registration: to help Eric. Fairgrounds liaison: to help and eventually replace Jim, should be someone local to Almonte. Volunteer co-ordinator: to help and eventually replace Nancy. T-shirt co-ordinator: to take over from Mike and work with Eric. Security at the event: new position. Committee meeting this Sunday, October 22, 1 pm at Frank & Rita’s, message me if you’re interested in helping.  <busfusion@aol.com>

Anyone who won a door prize and you know who it was supplied by, could you please write a small note of thanks to that supplier. I’m sure they would appreciate knowing their door prize made you happy to have it. Thanks !

Here are some “UNOFFICIAL” stats from the best BusFusion EVER !

284 Registrations in total. This number represents VW buses, “other” RVs and Vendors without campers. “Estimates” of VW buses registered are 260. We are trying to get a accurate total and will post that when we have it. Thanks to EVERYONE including the weatherman for making BusFusion 2017 a moments event ! See you all up the road somewhere this summer and back here in Almonte next year.

There is new experience in Almonte that the BusFusion attendees may be interested in taking. It is a guided walking tour of Almonte where we stop in and eat small dishes at 6-7 different food establishments. As we walk between stops, you learn about the history and characters of the our town. The guide is local and can tell you about the great eateries you many not have known about. We even stop for a beer on every tour! It is informative and fun!

The tours run Fridays at 1:00pm, Saturdays at 9:30am and Sundays at 1:00pm. They are $65. Tickets are bought online and must be purchased at least 24 hours before the tour. All the information is on our website thegoodfoodtour.com.
